In 1987 he began his professional career in music one year later he became a member of the prestigious and popular Orquesta Revé, as the lead singer for four years. After these experiences and having the commitment to expand his musical horizon, Yumurí decided to form his own orchestra with the collaboration of his four musician brothers .To this day, Yumurí has conquered the top charting positions on national TV and radio.
With a unique style to interpret the son and salsa Yumurí has taken his music with such a great success to many countries such as Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Jamaica, Japan and Europe to mention a few. The orchestra's first international experience for Yumuri & Sus Hermanos started in 1994 to inaugurate Muchacha's restaurant, a typically Cuban restaurant in Tokyo, Japan. He has shared the stage with a number of very famous international artists such as Oscar D' León, Tito Puente y su Orquesta, Compay Segundo, La Orquesta de La Luz, to mention few. Due to his extraordinary qualities as a singer, Yumurí has been invited to participated as a singer on Jesús Alemañy's project, Cubanisimo during the 1997 summer tour and on the show Cuba Tropical, which was featured a big success in 20 Japanese cities.
His discography counts three big productions: "Cocodrilo de Agua Salá" (1993), "Provocación"(1996) y "Olvidame Si Puedes" (1999). With his last discography work he achieved the first places on the Cuban radio and TV charts. Yumuri's work as a composer has been so successful that his songs have been recorded by very famous singers such as: Oscar D' Leon, Willie Rosario and Los Hermanos Moreno. With much success in his country and an international popularity that endorses his talent that has taken him to many countries Yumurí has confirmed his quality as an excellent Cuban music singer and composer.
